New animation settings:
Home Adjusting gesture animations
One of the most surprising additions in this update is new animation adjustments for home screen gestures. Users can now choose from three different animation styles.
- Pixel by Pixel – Enjoy the feeling of pure animation
- The scent of a certain fruit ~Feel the sweet taste of red fruits~
- Simple Tuning – Choose between fast animations or more emotional animations.
In addition to these options, there are options for advanced tuning settings that allow you to adjust certain aspects of the animation.
advanced tuning
This feature allows you to customize details such as damping, stiffness, and friction for how icons are moved and scaled. Users can also customize where the icon tracks, and there are interpolation options to fine-tune the behavior of the icon’s scale animation. This means you can create your own animations.
In addition to this, advanced adjustments also include options for scale, duration, and blur settings for the home screen and wallpaper.
big folder
Another notable feature is the introduction of large folder options. You can now choose between medium and large app folder sizes, while keeping your existing large folders the same size.
This gives you more control over the appearance of your home screen and allows you to better organize your apps. You can also add customization options by adjusting the folder grid and resizing the icons.
popup folder
This update also includes improvements to popup folders. Users can now customize the size of the popup folder with small, medium, and large options. Additional settings allow variable size, fixed position, and even the option to hide the edit bar and remove the blur effect.
This next level of customization provides a cleaner, more organized interface while giving users quick access to their favorite apps.
Overall, One UI 7’s support for Samsung’s Home Up app offers a variety of new features that many Galaxy users have been looking for. This update enhances the way you interact with your device with new animation settings, flexible folder options, and improved pop-up folder functionality.
It’s important to note that these features aren’t available to all Galaxy users yet, but the company plans to make them available on eligible devices soon.
