Smartphones are expensive, so many people finance upgrades through their carrier. Telecom companies should be applauded for providing smartphones at affordable prices, and in some cases for free, but like any commercial entity, they are motivated by self-interest. This is why we have conditions such as having to live together for the duration of the contract. That’s understandable and tolerable. As many T-Mobile customers experience, one thing that’s hard to ignore is receiving annoying notifications from your carrier asking you to download an app.

All you can do to avoid annoying notifications is to disable apps such as: T-Mobile Device Manager to generate them.
A more extreme step is to buy only unlocked phones, but that means giving up carrier-preferred discounts T-Mobile Offer.
OP, most of these phones have apps like Mobile Service Manager. You’ll have to disable that app to see if that prevents this pop-up, but at least you can avoid downloading the app every time. update. As far as I know, the Google Pixel is the only Android device that doesn’t allow this.
