The Sports Channel said it needed to test Altitude+ before releasing it.
DENVER — Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets fans will have to wait even longer for local streaming options. Altitude Sports said its streaming app Altitude+ is not yet ready for release.
The Sports Channel said it is working to further test the app and secure app store approval.
The Altitude+ app was announced alongside the announcement that 9NEWS will broadcast a total of 40 games between the Avs and Nuggets.
Altitude+ covers the channel’s nine-state coverage area. Viewers who don’t have Altitude will pay $19.99 per month through their cable or satellite provider. The app is free for people who already have Altitude via cable or satellite.

The Abs (0-1) play their first home game of the season Saturday night at Ball Arena against the Columbus Blue Jackets (0-1).
