Rumors of a major camera upgrade for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra have disappeared. The latest reports say that only the ultra-wide camera has been upgraded to a 50MP sensor (ISOCELL JN3) and that’s it. The main camera reuses a 200MP ISOCELL HP2, the 10MP module keeps a 10MP Sony IMX754, and the 5x module keeps a 50MP IMX854 sensor as well.
But the camera look different. That has to mean something, right? This is the image shared by the leakster ice universea new design for the individual camera lenses is shown, with a dark ring around each lens.

This matches the design language seen in renderings of other S25 models. It’s similar to the Galaxy Z Fold6’s design, but without all the extra protrusions around the camera. This means you need to be able to lay the back of the case completely flat.
The S25 lens design is similar to, but not identical to, the Galaxy Z Fold6.
The camera layout remains the same, so the Galaxy S25 phones still look exactly the same. The Galaxy S25 Ultra stands out from its predecessor with rounded corners and promised ergonomic improvements, including reducing the device’s width and weight.
