BILLERICA, Mass. — The Billerica Police Department has arrested and charged two men with stealing an iPhone package from the balcony of a Billerica home.
On Wednesday, police were monitoring a FedEx delivery following a spate of similar thefts in the area when they noticed someone take one of the iPhone packages and get into the vehicle. The person threw away his belongings and fled the scene.
Police radioed the vehicle’s description and license plate number, and the two men were arrested by Burlington police shortly afterward.
Daneuri Diaz Romero, 24, and Jonaiquin Grelo Peguero, 25, both from Boston, were arrested and taken into custody.
Romero is charged with theft over $1,200, and Peguero is charged with theft over $1,200, failure to stop for police, failure to stop at a stop sign, reckless driving, and speeding.
Both men are scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Lowell District Court.
These are just allegations because a suspect is innocent until proven guilty.
